Demi and Tay used to be buddies, but ever since Feb. 2016, there’s been bad blood between them. On May 17, Demi did a new interview explaining that not only does she not like Taylor, but that she doesn’t care to make amends with her at
all.
When asked about her beef with the Taylor, she said “there are women that I don’t get along with, and that’s fine,” Demi told Refinery29 . “My thing is, don’t brand yourself a feminist if you don’t do the work. I have an immense amount of respect for women like Lena Dunham … or Beyoncé, who make amazing political statements through their work.”
Demi had argued in Feb. that Taylor took the wrong approach to helping Kesha fight Dr. Luke after the songstress alleged that he raped her. Taylor gave Kesha $250,000 to help with her lawsuit, but Demi thought it was more important to be vocal about her support, saying “take something to Capitol Hill or actually speak out about something and then I’ll be impressed.”
